Out of nowhere, when I try to open a PDF, I get a white message on a black background that says "Before proceeding, you must first launch Adobe Acrobat DC and Accept the End User License Agreement." I tried launching, but it wouldn't. My husband suggested deleting and reinstalling Adobe Acrobat DC but when I did that, I now get a message that says "Found a higher version in the installation location. Installation will terminate." But I can't launch and accept terms of an agreement. HELP

I'm not sure of my version since I deleted it and tried to reinstall on the advice of my husband. In Search, the only version I can come up with is 2.0.0.125s but that is also the one that when I try to reinstall comes back with the message "found a higher version." Not sure if that is helpful. My os is 10.12.3 and it's a perpetual license.
