The Punjab government, led by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, has introduced a new housing project, “Apni Chat, Apna Ghar,” aimed at providing 100,000 apartments to residents across six cities, and some important details have been revealed that include the price, payment, and eligibility criteria.
The Housing Department has already submitted initial proposals to the provincial government for its project titled ‘Apni Chat, Apna Ghar’. Initially, the scheme will be launched in Lahore, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Multan, and Sargodha.

The apartments under Punjab’s “Apni Chat, Apna Ghar” will be priced at Rs. 1.5 million and made available through monthly installments of just Rs 26,000. In order to incentivize apartment construction, the Punjab government plans to offer a 60 percent subsidy, enabling potential homeowners to purchase apartments by paying 40 percent of the total cost in installments.
The eligibility criteria of the scheme will include people belonging to lower-income families with a monthly household income of Rs. 60,000 or less. Moreover, the government will prioritize families without their own homes.
According to the proposals submitted to the government, construction of 5,000 apartments is planned along Raiwind Road in Lahore. It’s noteworthy that CM Maryam Nawaz has introduced various schemes targeting the disadvantaged population within the province.
